All my childhood I did spend with dogs. My grandparents had a Great Dane and did breed some litters with the prefix "av Olkis". My mothers father owned many hunting dogs and my father had English Setters.
My first own dog was a cairnterrier with pedigree name Irina of Kinrara. I asked for a skyeterrier puppy, but when my father called to the Terrier Club's secretary, I got a Cairn! The lady had just got puppies and she was obviously a very good speaker... Irina got 2 CC´s but no puppies. I tried twice without any success. She had a marvellous life with my granny after retiring from show rings.

I did meet Riittä Seppänen with a golden Tibetan Terrier at the early 70´s. I loved that dog at the first sight and after awhile I got my own golden puppy La-Jun Benedicte out of Riitta´s male. I showed her only few times, because her coat was not the best possible.I bred her once and got 2 puppies, one of them became champion. My start wasn´t very succesful but there were more to come...

AMERICAN COCKER SPANIEL
I bought my first ´Yankee´ from Ms Anna-Liisa Heikkinen, prefix "Mistyway"  in 1980. Her name was Mistyway September Song "Dolly", a little black bitch out of famous Multi Ch Mistyway Saucy Red Tiger. "Dolly" got nice puppies with Beringens Wigmaker and Mistyway Imperial Red. I bought Mistyway Imperial Red when he was 7 months old. He had a great show carreer and  was also a great producer. I got also nice puppies out of Dolly´s bitch puppies. It was a pity that I did stop with breeding of "Yankees" when I got married.  Thanks  to Anna-Liisa - it is a pity  that you don´t breed Yankee´s anymore!

TIBETAN TERRIERS
I got my first TT in 1974, La-jun Benedicte. After I got her I started to make friends around the TT ring. Mrs Anna-Liisa Paasio, "Millan" prefix, asked me, if I was interested in showing her dogs 1975. Her kennel was at that time one of the leading TT kennels in the world! I was so proud!
My second TT was CH Matinsuon La-Ma, a small dog, who unfortunaly died in a car accident and he had also Lens Luxation. My third bitch was a success, Fin & S Ch, Nordic Winner-80, Finnish Winner-80 Millan Bait-Su-Ba, also called "Susa". "Susa" was the TT OF THE YEAR 1980 and she was a multi BIS winner, she was a great show dog. Unluckily she got PRA so I never bred her. Ch Millan Sandylei called "Sandy" was a BIG-winner, in my opinion she is still maybe the prettiest TT I have ever seen. The only bad thing was that she did hate dogshows!

I met Tarja Jantunen, later known as Salo, in the late 70´s when she bought her first TT from Anna-Liisa Paasio. Few years later I was interested in buying a bitch puppy from Mrs Tuula Plathan, "Karamain" prefix. When I visited her kennel to check puppies, I saw a stunning black and white male. I couldn´t take a male, but Tarja also wanted a good show dog, so we bought Teddy, Multi Ch, WW-92 FIN W -85-87-91 Karamain Jarkan-Dharma "Teddy". He was BIS at Helsinki International 1988, Finlands biggest show and TT Of The Year -88 and - 91 . Teddy was full of himself, great showdog and dear pet for Tarja, who took care of him during his life.

Later I bought another dog together with Tarja, when Kennel Sadi-Ya´s did bred their bitch with our Teddy. That´s how we got Multi Ch Sadi-Ya´s Just A Real Joy. "Beda" made lovely puppies to Tarja´s prefix Fabulous Teddy´s. One of them was a Multi Ch and Multi Winner Fabulous Teddy´s Amazing Willy ROM. I got also nice puppies from "Beda" out of my American import, AM Ch Atisha´s Magic Midnight Sun. "Sunny" had very succesfull puppies with Sadi-Ya´s bitches, BIS winners Int Ch Sadi-Ya´s Magic So Much and Int Ch Sadi-Ya´s Magic Superstar.

At the moment I just love to wach Tarja´s dogs by the ringside and I try to help her with her breeding program. Mrs Tarja Salo is one of my dearest friends, always helpfull and she treats her dogs better than many treats their children.

Maybe one day if I found a golden bitch I might have a TT again! You never know! I´m so happy that I had such a great teacher as Mrs Anna-Liisa Paasio. Her knowledge was so huge. I`m honored that she treated me like her own child.

LHASA APSOS
When I worked with Mrs Anna-Liisa Paasio, prefix "Millan", at the end of 70´s and early 80´s, I fell in love with this marvellous breed. Though I showed some of her Lhasas succesfully, the Tibetan Terriers were still  my number one breed. Many years later, in the early 90's I met Mr Juha Kares, with prefix "Chic Choix". He showed several lovely Lhasas and I got obsessed and wanted to get one of my own. Mr Kares sold me a lovely particolour female youngster, Fin Ch Chic Choix Parti Gal Sal. "Elli" was a multi BIG winner. I bought also another particolour, a male,  Fin Ch Chic Choix Hairy Hooligan. You can find those two dogs in many showstar pedigrees today! Later Juha Kares bought Multi Ch Hylan Sho Tru Bye Bye Birdie from USA. She is the all time top producing Lhasa bitch in Finland! Lucky me -I was the co-owner of that marvellous bitch. She lived 14 years and the last of her years she spent with my mother living with style that suits for a special dog. I must thank Juha Kares for my success with Lhasas. He is one of those breeders who you can really say is a topbreeder! Year after year you can see great Lhasas coming from Chic Choix.

YORKIES
I saw Mrs  Leena Kaplas showing her Multi Ch Deebees Sensation and I loved that bitch from the first sight. I visited  Cruft´s several times  where I saw  many famous yorkies that looked so beautiful with that steel blue coat and nice shades of tan.

My first ´Yorkie´ was from France Ermine du Royaume D´Argent. It was year 1989. Cindie was bigsized brood bitch from Ozmillion and Sladesmark lines. I bred her with Multi Ch Debonaire´s Mini Snob. From that litter I got Fin Ch Bhanyanan Rosy Romance, a lovely little bitch, owned by Mrs Silvasti. I bought two bitches from England, Sladesmark Stardust and Wenwytes No Regrets. Sladesmark Stardust got one litter and I never bred Wenwytes No Regrets because of her small size. Both dogs had lovely steel blue and great shades of tans.
I met Ms Pascale Mark prefix "de Majodian" in World Winner Show in Spain 1992. Ooh, what a lovely´Yorkies´ she had! I was friends with Mr Markku Kipinä. I was lucky once again because Pascale fell in love with Markku and moved to Finland! I used Pascale´s males to my bitches and got very nice puppies out of Multi Ch Globe Trotter de Majodian. Breeding Yorkies is a challenge, it is so hard to get nicely structured dogs with excellent colours. Unluckily I got patella in my bitchline, so that was why I stopped breeding. My Yorkies did have great lives with my dear friends.

Mrs Leena Kaplas, "Poppoon" prefix, teached me a lot!  She knows almost everything about Yorkies!  Not forgetting Ms Pascale Mark, lovely lady with great a knowledge of the breed. Ms Tarja Voutilainen, prefix Tavout´s, helped me also a lot. Mrs Wendy White with Wenwytes Yorkies had big influence to my ideal Yorkie. Thanks to all of you who teached me so much!

POODLES
Mrs Else-May Ikäheimonen was showing her Multi Ch Miradel Magnus in 70´s. as I was showing my Tibetans. Many times we met in group finals. She told me many times that I should change breed, that I should buy a poodle! But at that time it was not the time for Poodles... For many years I watched Ms Tiina Taulos winning with her poodles. I knew years before that when I was going to buy a Poodle, it would be from Canmoy´s.

Because my oldest son was allergic, I lived several years without any dogs in my house. When he became adult and moved I started to look for my first Dwarf Poodle. With the help of Juha Kares I bought Ch Canmoy´s Love On the Run. She is from excellent bitchline and in her first litter all three of her offspring are CACIB winners under the age of two years. I kept the only bitch from her litter out of Multi Ch Tirkane All About Alfie at home. She is Fin JW-06 Canmoy´s Bhanyanan, multi CAC and CACIB winner. His brother,co-owned with Ms Claudia Papini from Italy, EUJV-07 Canmoy´s Shamrock is a Top Toy in Finland 2007 with several group placements and more to come!

My next poodle was Canmoy´s Lady Liberty, a Dwarf female. She is a classical poodle, with body to die for! From ´back door´ came Multi Ch Canmoy´s Wildest Dreams, a superb toy with superb temperament! Everybody who knows her loves her! Thanks Tiina for letting me have her! She has produced lovely puppies and we are looking forward to see them in the showring! I have a interesting youngster at home...

I co-operate with Ms Tiina Taulos, Canmoy´s prefix. She had teached me all I know about poodles! I cannot imagine I could have found a better person to work with poodles than Tiina. She has all the knowledge and skills. She groomes my dogs to perfection and you can always trust her opinion. And last but not least, our vision about the perfect Poodle is very similar.
